King Henry IV receives the Prime Minister Sully after returning to the palace

The tapestry King Henry IV receives the Prime Minister Sully after returning to the palace represents the scene following the king's return to the palace, after being lost in the woods.

In addition to the presence of Maximilien of Béthune, Count of Sully, the knights and captains of the guard are depicted, whose portraits were taken from some medals by Fedele Fischetti.

One can also recognize the court knights Cuscinò and Ruggiero II of Saint Lary Bellegarde, as well as a prime minister, two richly dressed ladies and pages with hunting dogs.

In the background of the scene one can see a large window, embellished with a stucco frieze decorated with festoons and trophies and, on the right, a bas-relief with the symbols of peace and harmony on it.
